We’ve broken up some much needed communications tasks into bite-sized volunteer roles so that tasks are not time-consuming or onerous for any one person. Just send an email to us if you’re interested and you can start pretty much straight away! đŸ™‚
School Communications:
(i) Creating a default email message template for schools, grouped into Wellington areas near our classes and (ii)Â emailing a notice to schools twice a term for their newsletters (start of term & about week 8).
Kindergarten and Playcentre Communications:Â
(i) Creating an email template for Kindergarten and Playcentre groups and grouped into Wellington areas near our classes and (ii)Â emailing a notice to schools once a term for their newsletters (start of term).
Plunket and Parent Centre Communications:Â
(i) Collating the Wellington region Plunket and Parent Centre email contacts and noting down their schedule of newsletters (ii) Creating an email template for Plunket groups and Parent Centres and grouped into areas near our classes and (iii) emailing out a notice about Ni Hao CC as per schedule.
Publication Communications:
(i) Creating a list of contacts for child-related publications that could provide free events/directory listings for our classes e.g. Tots to Teens, local suburban newspapers, (ii) contacting them to get a listing in there for Ni Hao Children’s Community.
Librarian:
If you have experience as a librarian, this is the one for you!
We would like to offer families access to a mini library of children’s videos in Mandarin (e.g. Pixar and Disney movies, Dora, Charlie & Lola, etc), games and bilingual books, but need the basics set up and a process of how to manage one.
Grant Research:
(i) Do a little research to see what council and charitable foundation grants that Ni Hao CC would be able to qualify for (educational, cultural, children activities), (ii) create a spreadsheet of them, grant names, what costs they can cover, application deadlines, etc.
